Just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” … Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did. … So I say, walk by the Spirit, and … walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him. … Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Keeping God’s commands is what counts. … For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.
Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. … Teach me, Lord, the way of your decrees, that I may follow it to the end. Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes. … Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you) to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. … Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
