Easter Week – 23: Monday After Easter – Resurrection 1

Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel. … Christ Jesus … who as to his human nature was a descendant of David, and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.

If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

But also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you.

  1. Walter, That was an excellent cross-referencing of Scripture regarding the Resurrection. Thank you. Donald would have called that'”stringing Pearls” or cross-referencing. He, too, was good at it. (We thank The Navigators for teaching this to us.)
Keep up the good posting! I love you and Barbara and Kate. Mary t. ‘
