Philippians

The Fruit of the Spirit is … Love – 4

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

Fruit

The gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world— just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace.

A Different Strength

The joy of the Lord is your strength … The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace … Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always … The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.

The Lord is … 8

Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Do To One Another – 2

You, my brothers and sisters … serve one another. … be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit.

Encouragement – 2

Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged.

Stand Firm – 2

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Gifts of God – 2

Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked.

This is THE gift of God

Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked.

My soul rejoices in my God

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD. … I will extol the LORD at all times: his praise will always be on my lips. I will glory in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together.
