The Fruit of the Spirit is … Peace – 1

I will grant peace in the land, and you will lie down and no one will make you afraid.

Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. … How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!

When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone’s way, he causes their enemies to make peace with them. … He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.

This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Love truth and peace.” … Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. … Be at peace with each other. … If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

For God is not a God of disorder but of peace … Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.

Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.

As I read these beautiful words, I am reminded to take the high road when I am in a situation where a person is being talked about in a negative way (gossip). I know a good word spoken in season can plant a new thought in the heart of the hearers and can make a difference.
Thank you for this body of work.
