I will praise the Lord, who counsels me

He will be called Wonderful Counselor. … Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have understanding and power. … Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. … Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.

I know, O LORD, that a man’s life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps. … Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” … Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. … A man’s steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand his own way?

But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold. My feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept to his way without turning aside. I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.

You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. … For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.
