May the Lord direct your hearts into Christ’s perseverance

And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive … flee from all this … encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. … But you,  … pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.

We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. … In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus … I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. … This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus. … We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
