Love is patient

Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope. … May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. … Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way … in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love … be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

Live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience … Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
