My soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteous-ness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Provide for those who grieve in Zion, to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. … Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.
Those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. … Be glad, people of Zion, rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given you the autumn rains in righteousness. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before … yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. … And their hearts will be glad as with wine. Their children will see it and be joyful; their hearts will rejoice in the Lord.
