The joy of the Lord is your strength

The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace … Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always … The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.

The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights … It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure … My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble … The God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God!

The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

I love you, Lord, my strength! … Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage … He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak … but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me … For when I am weak, then I am strong.

If you serve, you should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. … I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength … I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

    Walter,
I love your site – pure Scripture! It just can’t get any better than that. Weaving the verses together as you do gives such continuity of GOD’S thoughts. Keep this going until JESUS comes, which well may be in your lifetime. Having just clicked my 78th, I’m not sure about mine. But, as D. says, “Here, there, or in the air.” – we will all be in heaven together before you know it! To you and dear Barb, our constant love and devotion. We are so proud of you both! Love, Mary

    Mary,

As you and Donald have always been to us, you are (and continue to be) an encouragement, affirmation, and blessing. We love you both dearly.

    Walt
