The Lord is … 6

For the Lord is a God of retribution; he will repay in full.

The Lord is righteous, yet I rebelled against his command.

I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

The Lord God Almighty, the Lord is his name! But you must return to your God; maintain love and justice, and wait for your God always.

He who made the Pleiades and Orion, who turns midnight into dawn and darkens day into night, who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out over the face of the land—the Lord is his name.

The Lord is a jealous and avenging God; the Lord takes vengeance and is filled with wrath. The Lord takes vengeance on his foes and vents his wrath against his enemies. The Lord is slow to anger but great in power; the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet … The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.

The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights.
