Joy in the Lord

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul rejoices in my God.

I will extol the LORD at all times: his praise will always be on my lips. I will glory in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together. … The LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. LORD Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you. … Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. … Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. … May the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful. … Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. … Take up your timbrels and go out to dance with the joyful. … Singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. … I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. … Be joyful in hope. … Be joyful; rejoice in the LORD. … Rejoice always. … Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice.
