The Lord is … 2

Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance, for the Lord is a God who knows, and by him deeds are weighed.

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior—from violent people you save me. … so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God and that there is no other.

Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.” But the people said nothing.

The leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said, “The Lord is just.”

As for us, the Lord is our God, and we have not forsaken him.

Listen to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.

This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. … The Lord is known by his acts of justice. … The Lord is King for ever and ever.
