His Commands

His commands are not burdensome.

For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life. … If you love me, keep my commands. … Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them. … Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. …  If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.

Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. … Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding. … Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. … Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble. … For in my inner being I delight in God’s law. … My God, your law is within my heart.

And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. … And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. … Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
